What is The Mon Amie?

~The Mon Amie is a 45 bulb unit that not only emits UVA & UVB rays, but also the healing power of red light. 23 of these lamps are the Collagen Plus while the remaining 22 are standard UV lamps. The light from the Collagen Plus lamps help to repair and rebuild the collagen depositories within the skin.

This red light has the ability to stimulate ATP or adenosine triphospate within the muscle tissues, releasing more energy for the body to use. Through continued use of the Mon Amie, your customers will see their fine lines and wrinkles fade away. Their skin will appear young, and healthier.

With the unique option to turn off the tanning lamps, your customer can use the Mon Amie for the sole purpose of healing. The Mon Amie has the power to appeal to every customer. Because the Mon Amie does have the tanning option, we must charge our customers tax.

What is Collagen?

~Collagen is a group of naturally occurring proteins. It is the main component of connective tissue, and is the most abundant protein in the human body, making up 25% to 35% of the entire body's protein content.

There are several different types of collagen within the skin. The two that most impact the skin are type 1, which is the most abundant in the body and type III. Type III collagen is found in fast growing tissue. Much of this collagen will later be replaced by a stronger form, such as type I.

The amount of collagen in the skin tends to decline with age. As the body growth slows down, the amount of type III collagen found in the skin declines as well, while the amount of type I increases.

In fact, type I collagen continues to increase until about the age of 35. After that, type I collagen begins to decline. This breakdown of collagen is direct cause of fine lines and wrinkles.

How Does the Mon Amie Work?

~Now, through the use of UV red light therapy, we are able to combat the telltale signs of aging. The hardened and broken down collagen deposits can be refilled through the special light of the Mon Amie.

The Mon Amie emits red light, which is absorbed by the mitochondria of the cell. This stimulates intracellular energy transfer production for enhanced cell vitality and permeability, increased production of new collagen, and increased turnover of collagen and elastin fibers.

Through the use of the Mon Amie, the skin is able to store more moisture providing a more youthful and healthy glow. Winkles in the face and neck will be remodeled. The Mon Amie will also improve skin tone and texture, control pigmentation spots, help reduce pore size, encourage vibrant, healthier looking skin, and reduce wrinkles. It also increases flexibility of the connective tissue in the body. The Mon Amie is "Whisper Quiet" which allows the customer to relax during their session. 

 The Mon Amie does not cut, burn, or break the skin as with laser treatments. Lasers use heat and concentrated light to vaporize or remove tissue.  Red light therapy is one of the few non-invasive tools available that can reverse the appearance of aging skin.

A revolutionary feature of the Mon Amie is the option of a UV tanning session. If a customer so chooses, they can enjoy the benefits of a UVA & UVB tanning session while also indulging in the benefits of the red light therapy.  A customer is not allowed to use any addition UV unit the same day as they use the Mon Amie.

Not only does the Mon Amie, help to rejuvenate the skin, but it also aids the body in producing the essential sunshine Vitamin D.  Vitamin D is responsible for reducing high blood pressure, infection and the risk of Thrombosis, which is a blood clot formed inside a blood vessel.  Proper levels of Vitamin D also aid in the prevention of more than 20 different types of cancers.

The Mon Amie is equipped with a medical skin sensor. This sensor measures the concentration of the skin's melanin and determines the skin type. This allows the Mon Amie to customize every session, allowing each customer to receive exactly what they need. The Mon Amie is able to adjust the tanning lamps to each customer's personal skin type.
